Just wondering what tools people out there are using for documentation and online help generation. I am using Word and RoboHelp, and find that i spend a lot of wasted time converting interim technical notes to online help. The Robohelp version that I use is due for an update, but with the questionable ongoing development of the product, I wonder if I should look elsewhere. http://www.winwriters.com/articles/rh/
I want to output documents in PDF and CHM.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated
Re: Documentation tools
I've used HTML Help Workshop from Microsoft quite a bit. I don't think it's enough for you, though. I get the impression you want to output PDF and CHM from a single source? Documentum may do the trick for you, but it's $$$. I think big $$$.
