Any clue on a good test manager allowing to interface with my already existing collection of tests ? I have some scripts, C ANSI and Java written tests and I'm looking for a tool providing a way to develop an interface and then managing any kind of tests from a single GUI. The feature I'm looking for are running tests in a certain order, generating good reports, capable of filtering certain tests depending of some of their properties etc.
Any ideas ?
How many time did you spend on doing this in VB ? can you send a screenshot of your tool to me (email@example.com) so that I can have some ideas doing the same thing for my own usage... hum... and why did you do it if you have TestDirector ?
just for my information, how "not cheap" is TestDirector ? just in case...
We wrote it in 2 weeks or 40 Man Hours, we are still refining it and that was 2 years ago. The need was such that we had purchased a Key Word tool which worked with WinRunner and normally interfaced to TD, but did not interface to our specific automation tool( similar to WR but not the same API's etc.) The Key Word tool did not permit test set and multiple test set launchings as TD does so we created a run bench from which we could launch as many tests as needed for a full suite and still utilize the reporting capabilities of TestDirector.
I'll try and snag a few screen captures if it will help you. I will need an e-mail address to send to.

1) Your question is unrelated to this post, and should have been part of a new post.
2) Your question would better fit in either the Winrunner or Test Director forums.
3) You might try contacting support for one or both of these products, as I don't believe you will find a simple solution.
If you have a chance to do these screen capture it woul be great !!!! ) my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
What was this "Key word tool" ? how did it work ? I have a very small budget and I guess TD would be too expensive for me anyway
Thanks for your response,
