Where are methods of integrating more formal testing into an informal testing environment documented?

Re: Methods of Integrating more formal testing

To make integration formal, the first starting point is to baseline and document all interfaces as part of the System Integration exercise. System integration testing is generally more Design/Archicturally based. This is very critical in a multi-vendor scenario.
