Technical Reference Model
Is anyone out there familar with the Federal Enterprise Architecture Technical Reference Model? http://www.feapmo.gov/resources/fea_...nt_rev_1.1.pdf
There is a section called Test Management with a number of subsections in this model. I'm unclear on how this section fits into the Technical Reference Model because the model tends to talk about specific technologies and the testing section talks about methods. Is this testing section suppose to be modeling software testing in the U.S. Federal Government? Does anybody have any insight into what this section means?
Re: Technical Reference Model
Its an odd document.
It starts out talking largely about a new framework for delivery IT services/products then seems to diverge in all sorts of directions. Reading the section you are referring to, it would appear that the author(s) must of added testing in as an after thought. It seems to imply OO design and methodologies but fails to be specific on anything re-testing. Given what is stated in the intro, I am not sure why this document talks about development issues.
It appears to be a long winded discussion paper.
