Difference between Test Strategy and TestPlan?
According to my knowlegde, Test Strategy is one level above test plan. But someone please let me know the exact difference or what do you include in test Strategy?
Re: Difference between Test Strategy and TestPlan?
Well, these things can be whatever you and your co-workers agree they are. I generally view Test Strategy as part of the Test Plan. But then again, I look at Test Plans as being simply that - planning documents - while many people write test plans that get down in to the specifics of actual test cases and/or procedures.
But I'm flexible, and if management on a particular job/project want me to write a Test Strategy which will then drive the creation of the Test Plan, that's fine by me (as long as they keep giving me a paycheck).
