My company is into defined benefits and there is some talk of going into automation. Has anyone seen any automation being used in this industry? Since the majority of work involved is with records and sql, i doubt that automation will be feasible.
Does anyone work for/ know of any huge Def Ben systems/ retirement plans systems.. what kind of tools do you people use....
Also, what do you use for report generation.. We are looking for some powerful tool..has anyone heard of any..
Re: Defined Benefits
If you're talking about test tools; yes, we implemented automation with a huge defined benefits system for a major nationwide banking organization. There were mainframe, C/S, and internet aspects to the testing; and automating the testing was no more difficult that with any other type of application. In some ways, it was easier, as less change was introduced during development and testing phases, due to state and federal regulations.
Maybe I didn't understand your question?
