I'll be discussing the topic of design reviews with the other managers of my company and thought it would be a good idea for us to start by agreeing on the definition of a Design Review. That said, I only have the following definition and was wondering if there are better ones out there:
"A documented, comprehensive and systematic examination of a design to evaluate its capability to fulfill the requirements for quality, identify problems, if any, and propose the development of solution."
To ensure we follow the methodology
To ensure we apply the IT strategy
To make sure the technical solution is possible, viable and complete
To encourage and facilitate knowledge transfer through positive and constructive feedback
To provide a forum for innovation
