SQA Testing vs Computer Validation
I'm new to the forum. "Computer validation" is discipline used and described by the medical and pharamceutical industry that deals with testing and validating medical applications. This industry is heavily regulated by the FDA. Does anyone have knowledge about Computer Validation, if so how does it differ from SQA testing? I am interested in moving my career in this direction.
Re: SQA Testing vs Computer Validation
Medical and Pharamceutical systems often have additional requirements because the actual hardware has been specifically created for the purpose/activity, not just software. In essense what we are talking about is Embedded Device testing.
Most of the principles are the same, but there is a significant difference between testing of a scanner is scanning correctly vs. assuming the scanner scans correctly and the software did something wrong with the scan.
Hope that helps
