Has anyone got any testing books for sale?

    Hi
I've just started testing and having looked at the price of new books, decided to go for sceond hand books. I don't mind the condition, as that usual means cheaper.

Books i think may be good for me are:

The Complete Guide to Software Testing
    by HetZel

    Automated Software Testing
    by Edison .....

A Practical Guide to Testing Object-oriented Software
    by Mcgregor

Open to any other books though

    Stuart

Amazon.com and Half.com both have lots of used QA books for sale.

If you can get a cheap copy of "The Art of Software Testing" by Glenford J. Myers, grab it! It's starting to become very expensive.

Compact, if you're willing to pay shipping they might - and I think Amazon has a UK site that may have used books available from local people as well.

Unfortunately, most of the books I have now are for more advanced testers, and might not be what you're looking for.

I do not think that you choose the correct books.

    Well thanks for the comment.
Any chance of sharing with me what would be the correct books to choose?

Take a look right here. They have a good list of books here and the prices are not outrageous either. http://www.qalinks.com/Books/

Re: Has anyone got any testing books for sale?

Compact: You can actually win books here! and our users win books all the time! Plus we ship worldwide, and the books are not only new, but they are also (in most cases) autographed

Thanks to Elfriede Dustin and Ron Patton. We have now a few great books to give away! We have Software Testing by Ron and Quality Web Systems by our own moderator Elfriede and Jeff Rashka.

    Thank you all!

Soon, you'll be able to win books and classes even on QATraining.net! Stay tuned for that promotion. It's coming fairly soon...

Do a search in these forums - there are some great threads discussing good books for varoious levels.

A few recommendations (by no means exhaustive) based on what you've said:

Black Box Testing by Boris Beizer
Testing Computer Software by Caner, et al
Software Testing by Ron Patton (have not read this myself, but many many people here have found it helpful)

And depending on whether you work with web applications

Quality Web Systems by Dustin, et al
Testing Applications on the Web by Hung Quoc Nguyen
