Re: ISO 9001:2000 Internal Quality Audit

I have never done the internal audit of top management, but i was a quality auditor for my last place ... these are some things that are asked:
    1. Mission Statement: why? how? and when?
    2. Organizational Goals: why? how? and when?
    3. Vision of teh company, how?
    4. Monitoring of the company (how much it knows the status of the currently run projects, sees and compares status reports amongst all levels)

These some of the things i remembered .. but always whenever u internal audit, u read the processes and acordingly see where they are lacking, or are they used at all ..

    i hope this helps

Basically what needs to be done is that the internal or external aufitor, it makes no real diffenence, needs to get a warm and fuzzy that upper management is supporting the Quality System. This can be done in various ways.

    Knowledge of the Quality Policy
Regular reviews of the Quality System
Documented action items from the reviews
Follow-ups to the action items for closure

Ultimately the support of the overall Quality Management System needs to be observed by this group. Sit in on the review meetings if possible and have some select one on ones with these people.

    Hope this helps...
