    Vendor quality agreement

Our next project will sub-contract certain modules to vendor.

From a QA stand point of view, here is my questions:
    (1) How do we ensure vendor has meet our requirements?
    (2) Can we request vendor provide their test scripts/results to proof that they have done their testing job?

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

    David

Your contract with the vendor should spell this out. Refer to this:
    http://grace.wharton.upenn.edu/~lhitt/pilot.htm

Also, do web search for vendor quality or supplier quality. You should come up with many concerns and examples of contracts and/or audit forms.

    (2) Can we request vendor provide their test scripts/results to proof that they have done their testing job?

Yes. You may insist on this. This should be in the contract. This is a perfect place for an acceptance test.

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

Now that you're the user, you will have to perform user acceptance tests to ensure that the end product works as specificed.

Can you ask for test documentation from the vendor? Sure, ask for it. Will they give it to you? Check the thread below:

Hi, was looking for similar example, but the page isn't available anymore. Is there another link I could refer to now for the same example?
