sorry to hear about your broken leg JRica!!Hope you recover soon!!
Don't know whether these have been covered in the above list in some other name but still, check for all indexes, constraints, relations, updation and deletion rules. And the length of the fields,if that is not what you meant by quantity of fields.
I have faced a lot of problems recently due to the way MS SQL and Oracle handle users.Take care of the differences.
OK - I am having brain freeze here and would appreciate some help (and some sympathy - currently have a broken leg as well! )
I am writing an SOP on "how to test" and need to describe in detail, data.
All I have so far is the following:
- Database Type (Oracle, MS SQL, etc.)
- Database Users (Admin, Read-Only, Edit permissions)
- Data Characteristics
- Type - (Numerical, Alphanumerical, Boolean, etc)
- Field Names
- Quantity of Fields
- Protected or Unprotected
- Acceptable Boundaries
- Record Length (if files are involved)
- Field Positions (files)
- Data Cleansing Procedures
I know I am missing stuff. What??????
