This is essentialy how your users in your business area actually use the application. Rather than say functional tests which target components or portions of your application 'business process' testing is taking a whole process as a test and following it through.
For example adding a customer onto your system would be a process, billing a customer would be a process even though each of these would normally be broken down into smaller portions to test?
If you have a business model, you can use for tests.
That's something ususally done under UAT, where specific business scenarios are tested.
For that you need either a business model, or the user to participate in designing and runing these scenarios.
