Performance Appraisal for a Software Tester

I'm Natividad S. Tajonera from DB Soft Philippines. Our company is engaged in the business of Software Development. I am the Group Manager for Quality Assurance & Testing Unit of our company. Our organization is presently revising our performance appraisal form to fit the function of every position. In line with this, I am presently searching for references and inputs on performance appraisal which may be applied to a Software Tester position. Below is the job description for a Software Tester position. I would appreciate your valuable suggestion and help.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of a SOFTWARE Tester:
¨ To promote the QA mission, that is, to ensure the highest level of quality products.
¨ To carry out the entire test process.
a) Analyze project specification.
b) Provide detailed test plans.
c) Build and verify test procedures
d) Design and create test data/environment to support test activities
e) Execute testing and validate actual results against expected results
f) Document clearly and concisely, verify (to review, together with the Programming group, results of quality assurance tests, by comparison with the expected results), report, and track test results (defects, bugs, errors) for concurrent action (and to identify arbitration procedures for disputed results)
g) Make recommendations (to recommend program/system for quality reliance after testings, quality analysis and corrections are completely undertaken. ).
¨ To work with the development team in carrying out the test process.
¨ To develop and manage project schedules and incorporate them into the overall QA release schedule. To identify ''problem'' areas and propose solutions that will keep the test process on schedule.
¨ To perform the following types of test: GUI, functional, regression, integration, performance, customer acceptance (beta testing), system, multi-user and others as may be necessary.
¨ To be creative in the application of testing strategies and ensuring that requirements of the functional specification and design are met.
¨ To ensure that systems developed adheres to standards and procedures.
¨ To identify any weakness of the system especially in the area of data integrity and reliability.
¨ To identify system enhancement to optimize system efficiency, make the system more user friendly and for ease of system maintenance.
