Closed User Groups Testing
Anyone had any experience in "Closed User Groups Testing"....if so what kind of experience.
I am know typing up a test approach and this section has to be included, but having no previous experience of these it's pretty tough....your thoughts folks.
Re: Closed User Groups Testing
I'll be honest, I've never actually formally had a group user test. *please, anyone correct me if I'm wrong here*
My understanding is that the users are to receive an overview document but not a manual for the product. You are to be an observer and there to answer questions. By watching what steps they take, what functions they don't complete and noting where they ask questions, you'll know what areas need adjustments.
You'll want to tell them "No, do it like this". But if you think about it, real users won't have someone looking over their shoulder telling them what to do. If they don't know what to do, the product needs to be adjusted so that it is more intuitive.
Remember that your role is as an observer and for guidance - nothing more. That way, you'll get the most out of the exercise.
