    what is Terminal Emulation

    what is Terminal Emulation?
    As per my understanding, Terminal Emulation refers to the ability of one type of computer system to emulate or act like a user terminal of computer system.
    Am I correct. Can any of you please help me ...

    it has nothing to do with mainframe. as an example you'r running windows and want to emulate a unix session on machine located in another state that is seeing this session right now, work likes a reflection. there are soft for that available on different OS is that's what you wanna accomplish (i think one called Reflection for Regeas (?) graphics.."

    ...except from the way that you can connect to mainframe sessions via terminal emulation in much the same way as you do to UNIX.
