Just take a look at "webtest" and "softwarequality" groups on www.egroups.com.
They are alive but they can't compete with "comp.software.testing" and "qaforums" right now (BTW I didn't believe in the success of "qaforums" three years ago).
New forums could win if they give us service superior to "qaforums" for example. Another choice for them is to occupy a small niche in QA/Testing area.
You may reply to "yurym at_sign hotmail com" also.
Hi there again! I think there's plenty of room for both. I know other forums exist but I can't say I find them easy to use or read - this(ie QAForums) is the most readable one I have seen so far... Anyway I edited my welcome message in the general forum to reflect a little better how I see it fitting in..
another point is that I visit several forums on other topics daily, having more to visit doesn't bother me just make your favourites list one longer!
sorry to shamelessly bump like this, but I thought i would add that I cannot access newsgroups at all from work (possibly due to firewall, but whatever, I can't) and suspect others may have this problem, so comp.software.testing is simply a resource some are not able to access in the first place...
