You will get the help at the earliest, if you explain the problem with more details.

Do you want to trigger SSIS Package through CodedUI? There are ways to execute SSIS package from command prompt ==> Command line tool to execute SSIS packages

If you want to validate the ETL tests, then you can look for C# code to do so..
    Thanks & Regards,
    Palani.

    H tmpalaniselvam,

Thanks very much for your response. Actually I have extensive experience in UFT and Loadrunner. However ETl Testing and Visual Studio is new to me.
I have been assigned to automate an SSIS Package Testing. The project involves the following:-

    1. SSIS package that takes data from a notepad, XML or table and moves to a different set of tables.
    2. Need to validate whether the package executes and populates tables correctly.
    3. Need to calculate the total execution time.

Just wanted to know how the above requirement can be achieved using coded UI.

    Thanks and Regards

    Hi Athman,

YOu need to look at other kind of automation also. You should be good with Csharp and ETL testing. You can apply following automation strategies.

    1. Inputs might be text, xml, database. You can run SSIS package through commands. Do one SSIS execution for each data type[file]. After execution, you can check whether the [staging]tables are updated or not.
    2. DB tables should have time columns. You can validate the data as well as execution time.
    3. You can validate total execution time, based on time column OR command execution time.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Palani.
