Jira Test Management Plug-ins
Our company moving to Jira
I looked up the various Test Management Plug-ins and I can see there are a few around
Has anyone out there used one of these in full ?
If so are the any recommendations (or non-recommendations :-))
Check out this thread from not too long ago, I had a pretty productive discussion with dlai regarding this very topic
Looking for JIRA test case add-on recommendations
There are a few basic things that need to be determined though before diving in to what test management solution to consider such as how many projects youll have, complexity of recorded tests, amount of tests, growth potential etc.
I think I said in the thread, but if I didnt I ended up going with a solution that was not a jira plugin because none of them were really practical and allowed for sufficient organization, and to be honest with the popularity of Jira most test management solutions hook in to Jira in some useful way or another, such is the case with the solution I chose, Test Rail.
I can advise you to try Squash TM which is an open source tool for test repository management: requirements management, test cases, campaign and more...
You can connect JIRA bugtracker to Squash TM in substitution to Mantis bugtracker:
For more informations about Squash TM: SquashTest.org : open source project on software qualification
Let me feedback!
The solution I would recommend, especially if you are moving to JIRA is PractiTest - a test management tool.
They offer a great two way integration with JIRA so bug tracking integrates with their platform and is included in the reporting module as well.
I will let you read more about it: JIRA integration via PractiTest Test Management
This post can give us vetry fine ideas regarding the project management tool which is very nice and give us better ways to deal with the same.
Thanks for such a great information.
