Excel - How do they do that?
I have inherited an Excel Workbook that has a cool feature in it. I don't know how they added it to the sheet. Let me describe it.
To the left of the A, B, C, D columns there is a vertical strip. It has Plus signs on it. When the + sign is clicked on, the rows expand and show more rows.
I don't know what this feature is called in Excel or I would read about how to do it.
Does anyone know what this is?
It's from grouping rows together --- in Excel 2007 it's under the Data tab (on the right part of the ribbon)
Yes. That is exactly the feature. The mystery is solved.
I gave it a try and it works great.
its a nice feature i too got the same experience in excel
