Iam working as a test engineer for past 8 months in manual testing. I want to know how to focus to be a good manual tester if i try for a big firm. Will ISTQB certifications an added advantage for me? Is there good opportunities in manual testing or shall i focus on automation also? If automation, then what all tools are in high demand currently?
Have you tried doing some research on "software testing terms" on the internet? Do not just search one resource for each. Check out diffferent sources as there usually are many different definitions but in the end the concepts are most important to understand.
Also you may want to focus some research and/or classwork on Test Design. Check out the suggested Book List and Key Topics here. I'm sure this will help you on your way to improving your overall testing experience and knowledge.
