looking for UI screenshot capturing software

I'm currently using paint.net to capture screenshots and comment on them in order to report any UI issues on (web application) forms, misspelings, fields missing etc. I was wondering if there's anything more sophisticated to do this job as paint programs aren't that flexible when a page requires lots of modifications.

I'm not sure what kind of sophistication you are looking for, but I use ScreenRip32 from Progency.

I use HyperSnap and HyperCam for stills and video respectively. See http://www.hyperionics.com/

I second the recommendation for SnagIt. I love the fact that it will allow you to create and edit screen shots and movies. It is great when putting together documentation and training materials. Just an all around useful tool.

    Try Screenshot Studio
It is available both as a Browser Addon as well as a Setup.

I use jing, that does picture and video and it free. Downside is that there is no video editing.

http://www.bbsoftware.co.uk/BBTestAssistant.aspx allows video editing and is pretty good, but costs money at $225.

I'd recommend BrowserSeal if you either need to automate this process and need multiple browser support.
