I'm searching for some business driven approaches. Maybe best practices or business process operation tools. Maybe this is not perfectly the right environment but I heard about how reduction of costs can be easy if maintainance is given in the application lifecycle (like the term). So I'm not particularly interested in one process or tool but rather in the big picture.
You could find some of that information on some lifecycle discussion groups, but there is not a lot of focus on costs. You could look around for blogs on Agile, maybe you'll find one that resonates, but otherwise I don't know what to suggest.
There are lots of agile blogs out there. It may be a matter of checking a bunch of them out.
There's probably a good reason there are only single posts here and there, and it's probably because it's just not that exciting. I mean I think, sometimes, that arguing about Agile models is like listening to developers argue the merits of C++ over Java or insert any programming language here over insert any programming language here. I think if you do, you're doomed to live a lonely life. Trust me, I've seen these people. Don't be that guy!
