    Integration testing

I am appreciated if someone could spend some minutes to read and answer my question from this post about integration testing.

    Integration testing have 2 levels:

    - Component integration testing
    - System integration testing.

    1. Component integration testing: this step will integrate units (they could be function, class, procedure, method... from the Unit Test) in a Module to verify the structure, the stress, the performance or the functional of each unit when integrate each others.

    2. But how about the System integration testing.
Someone could tell me what is it, when is it applied and how is it apply.

    Thank you very much,
    Regards,
    Nhu Nguyen

    Re: Integration testing

System integration testing is when two systems integrate with one another.
say for example you have software that shows the details of the person. And to fetch the details it uses the exchange server.

Now you software is one system that integrates with another.

    Dear GauranG Shah,

    Thank for your reply.
But could you please share with me the best way to write test cases of SIT testing?

    Best regards,

"System integration testing is when two systems integrate with one another."

So we perform System integration testing (SIT) after we finish to perform testing 2 systems independently?

    For example: We have 2 systems A & B.
Firstly, we perform system testing with system A
Secondly, we perform system testing with system B
And we then, we perform SIT with system A and B.

After we perform SIT, we perform User Acceptance Testing?

The approach would be almost same as you used to write down the component integration testing. the only difference here is we have to different system now than two modules
