Hi guys, I am newbie here... Sorry if this question is already ask before...If it is already discussed in this forum please let me know the link but if not...Please enlighten me on these questions:
1. What are the difference between QA and Software Testing?
2. What are the examples of QA (practices, methodologies, types etch)?
3. Can you classify types of testing like performance tesing, regression testing, functional testing to QA and software testing?
There are a couple ways you can look at #1. SQA is like a pie. Software testing is a piece of that pie. There are many other pieces, though, like risk analysis, process management, release management. Also, testing can be broken down further even, into many of the categories listed on SQAF
It's like asking the difference between Web Development and HTML Programming. A great way to make web developers steam is to say, "Oh yeah, so you do stuff like programming HTML and stuff. And they pay you that much for that?"
9 out of 10 people I prove wrong agree that I'm right. The other person is my wife.
Thanks Jake for the link and the reminder...anyway, I am aligned in Performance Testing (LoadRunner) most of my trainings and bootcamps focus on LoadRunner...I believe we do have methodologies and materials, but those are "explanations by the book" the best answers usually came from the "experienced" persons and sometimes in real world there are different experiences that does not answered or included in some materials or books...that is why I asked those questions.
