In which industry are more jobs/oppurtunities available in IT Testing in United Kingdom.
I am mentioning some of the industries, i am aware of
4.Health and Life Science etc.
I don't know exactly, but I've done a lot of interviewing recently and I've seen a lot of people coming out of the UK and there seemed to be a lot of financial experience on the resumes I was seeing. I don't know if this is an indication of a downturn in that industry or not, but it seems like there is always something going on in the financial sector.
It depends on your skillset, there are alot of roles which require exeperience in the particular industry for instance testing roles in finance requiring experience with derivatives. www.jobserve.com is a good site to check out, should give you an idea.
I would agree with more jobs in finance (not backed by any data, just going by what jobs *were advertised), but keep in mind that this could also be that finance has a high turn over .
Noticed I said *where, like Myrtle mentioned, the credit crunch is affecting the job market.
I agree with Myrtle and flojo if you're living in London or Edinburgh. It depends on the city / area though and what kind of industry has settled there. Edinburgh has a lot of financial jobs, Sky has a big site in Bathgate for example.
Are you looking at the UK in general or at a specific area?
