I knew that there are "e learning" projects which is related to online education.is it a domain like banking domain. what are the skills required to work in e learning domain testing.
Re: e learning
Like any other web site testing there are mainly two aspects
1) you need to test the end user part
2) the administration part.
Incase of 1) I have listed few of the areas, which you must consider.
A) The browser and OS compatibility.
B) Check all the pages content as per document provided by the SME. Also page may contain code, check if the content developer provided code is OK or not. The code should be properly ornamented/commented, should be aligned properly, another obvious part you should check whether remarks are in quotes.
C) If page contains any applet or flash animation it should have the transcripts. In transcript the graphics should be properly sized and the text is same as the animation.
D) Check all the links are opening properly or not. The site should give support for visually imparted, you should also check that.
E) User should navigate forward and backward. if there is a navigation pane, check if those are working properly or not.
F) There might be instances of mouse over, see those are working or not along with the text and the captions.
There are innumerable of things should be tested but you should give proper attention to this as these are the few areas where you can expect problems.
Now lets come to the second part, i.e, the administrative part.
A) if there is assessment part, then check it vigorously, whether correct assessment result is coming or not.
B) Check what the learning management follows, whether SCORM model or something else. If it follows SCORM then understand that model thoroughly.
C) Check the administrator page, it contains vast of things. Particularly check a user can be added or deleted properly in specific account with specific privileges.
I gave you few instances to start with, one you start testing you will find there are many other aspects to deal with.
Best of Luck.
