I am new in the field of software testing. I want to do software testing for DSpace digital library software.
DSpace is an open source digital library software developed by MIT HP. It is now being widely used to create institutional digital repository.
<ul type="square">[*]Work with your colleagues to obtain the processes in place for testing at your company. [*] Have your company give you training in Software testing[*] Ask for a mentor so that you have an experienced person to guide you.[*] Start getting some software testing books to increase you knowledge. A selection of these can be found at http://www.qalinks.com/Books/ - also try browsing the forum for books that people here recommend.[/list]
And know that how you test is 10x more important than what you test. The application you are testing is NOT important, the methods and tools by which you perform the testing is the critical part. (That's why you were pointed to tools and research rather than to a web page titled "How to do DSpace testing")
Get the tools and methods and then use the tools on whatever application you need to test.
