I'll get you started:
- add new address
- edit existing address
- delete address

Your turn now - can you add some more?

Re: Test cases on Address Book

You know, I understood the reason behind the sarcastic replies that are doled out when people ask questions like this, but I never really felt it myself. I suppose I was naive to hope that I could be a member here for more than a month before I started seeing the very questions we use to prescreen at my company being posted here.

Sigh...

Please, please, please just answer the questions on interview prescreens honestly. You're wasting your time and mine (and by that, I mean my company’s, because trust me I checked that this was not a name I recognized because I would have walked it straight over to the shredder) by cheating like this. It will just end up coming out in the interview. Once we figure that out that you are trying to be less than honest, we’re not going to be in the mood to offer you a job. I would much, much, much sooner take a junior tester that knows the limits to their skills and are willing to ask questions than one who is going to be shady and try to make it look like they know things (and are ‘doing work’ - shudder).

I really hope this is just a bizarre coincidence that you would randomly ask the same question on our prescreen... But at the same time, I think a piece of that sweet trusting girl who lives within me died just a little today.

You missed the main one ... CRUD testing

Create
Read
Update
Delete

You have to be able to read an address after you had added one :-)

How about Address Book Latency and Failover / recovery tests ? What about address book comparitive testing and Address Book Sociability tests..... now the address books has to get along with other address books.

Meenal, you are two moves behind. It is your move to supply at least seven ASAP. What other questions from the interview are you looking to get answered?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">Bingo!

Now if Mchawla had made that observation, I would have felt a lot better...

One thing I do when I'm interviewing candidates is exactly that, give them an incomplete answer to one of my questions, and see if they can add the (obvious) missing pieces.

So, rtehve - you get to move on to the next portion of the interview!

Mchawla - sorry. You don't seem qualified to continue. Best of luck.
