Testing the procedure and triggers.
I want to know how to perform testing the procedures and triggers in SQL? Do we have to know the SQL programming in and out? I am talking about manual testing
Re: Testing the procedure and triggers.
Well... yeah... you kinda do need to know SQL in order to build the code correctly to call the Stored Procs and Triggers that may be associated in our test. You don't have to be an expert, but have a firm grasp of basics of SQL queries and calling of Stored Procs.
Also, some working knowledge of the Enterprise Manager (either MS-SQL or Oracle; don't shoot me if I called them the wrong names, been a while) and/or the Query Analyzer tools would be of benefit as you can run your tests through them.
That's how you would do it in a "Manual" fashion directly in the database engine.
