Test doc. format
I am working in a QA role for a technical support group. We develop small tools, utilities, applications on existing applications as well as working on larger projects.
Now over a period of time although I have documented test cases...I find them very cumbersome to maintain given continuous small / big changes for different features etc....most of the time is spent on regression testing...
Is it necessary that for testing even a small change, I should write test scenarios->related test cases->steps to reproduce etc....OR I can give my PM even a small test checklist with the pass/fail criteria and criticality of the test point mentioned which is much quicker. OR reporting to the PM should always follow a particluar standard format.
