MP3 Firmware Testing
I'm looking for information on how I can get my supplier from releasing dodgy Firmware for our MP3 products.
I'm more of a Quality (Mfg) guy than SW / FW, so would like to know more about formal release procedures / processes for what should be a simple product.
They currently have an excel list w/ Functional and Stress Tests and also a Bug List.
For you SW QA guys that know more about SW Testing, what would you ask for from the supplier in this case to prevent them from releasing the FW w/ simple functional bugs and memory loss?
I would be most grateful for your advice.
Re: MP3 Firmware Testing
In addition to search the web for vendor/supplier quality, use the advanced search to your upper right to search for "user acceptance".
Search of the web for vendor/supplier quality should turn up both CMM-L2 and MIL-STD 1521 or 1521/a or /b. Both are roughly equal in specification. You might also want to look in any contracts with this supplier.
