I am in the process of finishing up my final system testing cycle for a product that will go to Beta testers a week from Monday. This product is in very good shape and I would say that there is little to be done to bring this to production level.
My question is, if you have a Beta in which full system functionality has been developed, that you have run all designed test cases and have no defects of medium or high priority and don't receive any significant changes or defects from Beta test, what is the best final testing approach to take this to production?
I am planning on designing and executing tests that will verify any Beta changes or defects and run regression tests to re-verify full system functionality after testing changes and defects.
The documents that I have completed are fully executed test cases, defect report, in which there are no medium or high severity defects, test summary reports and the executed test plan.
I know this sounds like an ideal situation, but humor me please...
