    Possible Test Cases

    Hi

I have five screens in my application. On each screen i have placed some controls like Text Boxes, List Boxes, Combo Boxes, Radio Buttons, Some grid controls and Command Buttons. Is there any document for writing possible test cases for each screen.

    Re: Possible Test Cases

To answer to your original question, there is NO document to tell you exactly what test cases you should write, but there are plenty explaining you how you should write and what you should looking for.
Search the forums (especially Functional Testing and General Discussions) and you'll find many ideas, examples,... exactly what you need, but maybe not what you would expect.

    Re: Possible Test Cases

    Hi Lokesh,

A Test Case needs - " a set of test inputs, execution condtions, and expected results developed for a particular objective ".
For e.g. ur first screen consists of Text Box, Combo, List and a command button.
So consider these things atleast in the mind and plan ur test cases -
    - Valid and invalid inputs for test box.
    - Verify the combo & list boxes for the values shopwn in it(compare the values shown with the actual data.
    - Verify that proper error messages are displayed on clicking a command button.
    - Compare the functionality of the command buttons with design specification.
    etc etc...
