Re: Windows client server testing
I recommend the book "Client Server Testing" by Kelly Bourne. It contains good information and a handy checklist. If you're doing client/server testing w/any C applications, I'd also suggest running a tool (such as BoundsChecker) against the code to check for memory leaks. Strictly speaking, it's not a functional test, but it will save you time and effort later. Memory leak problems manifest themselves in bizarre ways functionally, are difficult to reproduce consistently, and take quite a while to find and debug.
