How to test email textbox?
Please suggest some scenarios for testing email text-box. Please provide the possible negative scenarios and some easiest way to test.
Do you have Requirements?
Not all email text-boxes are expected to behave the same.
For example, some validate the email address as it is entered against some specific criteria or pattern, others don't. Some validate the email address being entered to make sure it is unique (ie, not already entered), others don't. Some validate that the email address being entered is already matched in some part of a corporate database, others don't. Some validate that the email address matches a "confirm" field, others don't.

All Things Quality: General Input Tests for Email Addresses
Normally an email-id should have local part,@ symbol and domain name.
email id with valid local part,@ symbol and valid domain name.
The local part should accept 10-15 characters,
test by giving above 15 characters in localpart
test by giving below 10 characters in localpart
Test by giving special characters, alphanumeric values in localpart
Email with domain name as IP address
Invalid domain name
Giving other symbols instead of @ symbol
Missing @ symbol and domain name
missing local part
missing @ symbol
@ symbol twice repeated
local part starting/ending with dot is not allowed
invalid IP address
more than one dot in domain part
For negative scenarios, you can try
1. special characters,
3. Multiple "@",
4. absence of ".",
5. absence of "@"
6. Field length restrictions
Email addresses have a ton of rules to them. For example, there are a different set of rules when things are in "quotes" vs without quotes.
