About to describe an action in test case
Thatīs ia a newbie question, but i donīt see about that issue in any forum.
Iīm writting test case in jira. My doubt is about better way to describe an action (sorry for my english :-)) .
What is better way to describe when user touch link (or button)
- User make click on link
- User taps link
- User touch the link
Click on Sign-in Button/Link
Select "Japan" from Country Combo
Check "I Agree" checkbox
Select "10-15" age radio button
Not sure what you mean by touch.
If the user clicks the link use 'user clicks link'.
If the user doesn't click & just hovers over the link use 'user hovers over the link'.
Test cases I'd make them read as close to user expectations and as high level as possible. If the UI interaction for opening the link doesn't mater, I'd say 'follow' or 'open' the link, and not worry about if it's a click, touch, typing it in the URL bar, etc...
