A discussion about some research ideas?
I have over 4 years of full-time work experience doing fuctional testing. I am currently a full-time student and was in the software testing field up until I started my program. I'm thinking of focussing my master's thesis on functional testing - may be different tools used, or a case study for an imaginary system under development outlining test cases and test plans Something on the lines of fucntional testing or Agile Testing etc. Ofcourse, my advisor needs to approve the topic and we both need to get down to a very very specific research question.
Any thoughts on topics related to software functional testing? Any other comments welcome
EDIT: I've used only hp quality center as a tool so far for Test MAangement.
Re: A discussion about some research ideas?
One of the topic I suggest is "Virtualisation in Testing".
a. how virtalisation guides the test engineers to give series of varied inputs for a test condition,
b. how the virtualised database will be used for testing instead of a live database etc.,
