Re: What\'s about Software Failure Graph

Hmm... Just a few random thoughts...

    Post-Implementation review are held when
    a. Product is certified before relese
    b. Product is replace.
    c.Product has been released.
    d.Major Failure.

Post implementation happens if or not there's a failure.
    Happens only after the release.
Happens whether or not if it is replaced.

    That rules out a b and d.

that means that your implementation review can happen after release....

Not sure if it helps, but glad if it does....

Re: What\'s about Software Failure Graph

Hi Joe, sorry about not specifying that. :-)

Those were some questions I hit upon posted by someone who was attempting some interview questions. And I thought this forum would be the best place to reach out.

Re: What\'s about Software Failure Graph

Thank you everyone for the replies. My views are as follows:

    1. What will be the shape of software failure graph? No idea, I'm waiting for the master to answer. Joe?

    2. Which is best Mesurement Approach to determine Test Completion? -
    Requirement coverage gets my vote.
Argument in support: As long as all the requirements specified in the FD document is covered in the test cases, been executed, defects been raised, fixed, re-tested and signed off, we can safely say that the test is complete. Please comment.

    4.Post-Implementation review are held when:
Option c.Product has been released - gets my vote.
Argument in support: Post implementation itself means "after the implementation (go-live) of the product / service".

Please correct me if I am wrong.

    Best regards,
    Anoop

Re: What\'s about Software Failure Graph

Your answers for 2 and 4 seems reasonable to me, Anoop.

I have no idea about 1 either. I suppose it depends on what and how you are actually measuring.

    You didn't answer 3 yet.

Re: What\'s about Software Failure Graph

Thank you for your comments, Joe. As for question #3, I guess the best tool to report defect would be specific to the tester's experience on the various tools.

To select an option out of the 4 listed, I select Cause effect. Sounds more like Causal Analysis and Resolution.

    Best regards,
    Anoop
