How to generate the Test Report?

How to generate the Test Report in Squish/Qt? Can I write the test reports (Pass/Fail) in a text file?

    Regards,
    Lawrence

    use
    --reportgen xls,c:\temp\report.xls
    or
    --reportgen xml,c:\temp\report.xml

command line options on the command line with squishrunner to generate the report.

Re: How to generate the Test Report?

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your replies.

I am using Squish IDE. I tried with reportgen, but failed to get the report. If you explain the command line options more clearly, it will be helpful for me.

    Regards,
    Lawrence

Re: How to generate the Test Report?

I found the solution. First squishserver has to be run in command line. Then using another command prompt window, following syntax has to be used to get the output.

    <font color="blue"> squishrunner --testsuite &lt;testsuite&gt; --reportgen xls, report.xls </font>

You can use runtests.py to run suite(s) and generate the report. It's available in the folder ...\examples\regressiontesting

Re: How to generate the Test Report?

    You can use
squishrunner --testsuite &lt;testsuite&gt; --reportgen xml, report.xml
and then you can convert the xml file to html file.
