Has anyone designed a tool that can be used to track the progress of the Execution of test scripts.
I need to provide management information such as number of scripts passed, number failed and the severity of the defect. Can I use Test Director to get this info or would excel be better? If Excel can someone suggest a format.
I suggest that you include a link to you last question as it is not necessarily clear what that it and everyone will not be reading you posts in the sequence that you create them.
To do what you want in excel - a simple spreadsheet with Script Names as the rows and columns for Pass, Fail, Defect Number. If you want this to work reasonably well keep it as simple as possible.
If you have Test Director and know how to use it then that would be a better tool to use.
If you have Test Director you probably can use it but if you do not its probably better to go with excel unless you have time to purchase, educate the project team, set-up and also have a lot of dollars to spend.
