Qa - scrum - tfs
My company is using TFS (Team Foundation Server) 2012 to build their releases in Sprints. We are also using it to track bugs as well. I am wondering how QA fits into the process. So far, we have manual scripts created in Test Manager and we plan on having Sprints once a week. Should a Task be created for QA for each Sprint? Does QA work from the task or from the Backlog items/Bugs? Should we create a separate project for QA?
If anyone here is familiar with SCRUM, please tell me how your shop scheduled QA within it.

We did sprints in my previous shop, but did not use TFS. The developers would create a task from the user stories, and when it was ready for QA I would mark it as 'In testing' and move it to the QA portion of the sprint board. Here we use TFS and a Kanban board. We create our tickets in Test manager and then link them to the task. We don't have a separate project for QA, we all work in the same iteration path. We do use share point and we have a QA section in there. We work from the tasks that are ready and any bugs that come along as well.
I have personally used Scrum when i was through my projects,I must say that it worked for me basically the important thing is to make a mark whether it is about benefits of agile methodology it needs to be done in the correct manner. It works if you actually know the uses of it and that is how it should be.
Scrum is a tremendous way when its about your development of productivity monitoring,You can measure it through the product backlog,See how your product is moving in terms of its production through weekly meetings and a lot more that you will get to see from agile and scrum methodologies because its now a complete and proper way.
