    Test Environments Management Tool

Is anyone aware of any Test Environment Management Tools?

I am looking for something to capture configuration data of the type defined in RUP Test Environment Configuration

    http://rup.hops-fp6.org/process/arti...htm#Properties

But also is assist with scheduling - to enable me to book environments out to specific projects for specific types of testing.

I remember using a product called 'Whiteboard'(??) several years back but can find no trace of it now.

Something open source would be ideal as I need to get started now!

    Re: Test Environments Management Tool

    Hi,

I don't know about such a tool but it is not that hard to build a simple web app for administration och survaillance of test environments if you know HTML and a scripting language.

Here is an example from www.softwareinquisition.com.

Thank you, that gives me some great inspiration for the future. For now i need to get something up and running fast & my own skills would not extend to that - I might have to stick to excel or access for now unless anyone else can come up with anything?
