I am in a process of making a decision on bug tracking/Reporting soft. The two tools I am evaluating are TeamTrack and TestDirector.
Iíve worked with TD before and know what is it capable of. TeamTrack on the other hand I donít know, and simply have no time for a full evaluating. I was wondering if anyone actually used both apps and can tell me which one they liked more, and why.
Thanks a lot for help.
PS: I did search the site and could not find anything that deals with TeamTrack vs TD. If I missed it for some reason and actually duplicating the post I would appreciate if I can be get some help with locating the earlier topic.
Try JIRA. Has all of the flexibility of Test Director, easier to use, cheaper, and has connections to Mercury and Silk.
My company went down the same path you are thinking of. All of the interfaces and Configuring any real workflow or anything special was almost impossible. We had to dangle checks in front of these vendors to get any real help.
There are good integration companies for JIRA and Mercury or Silk.
Artie speaks sense.
Market proves it.
JIRA is not perfect, but is a great value for the money.
They are a lot of integrations for it.
It has integrations to TD, build tools, just about anything.
It is made by Atlassian. They have been in business for about 6 years and have ouver 11,000 JIRA customers. They are kicking the old timers in the guts. Killing TeamTrack, Remedy, ClearQuest, etc.
We use it.
tied it into TD with go2group jam plug-in, perforce, subversion (free from altassian). awsome.
