I'm trying to build a new Trackrecord database. I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any sites that contain tutorials or information on how to customise the web interface and all the different templates.
TrackRecord is pretty good. Maybe not as good as TeamTrack but better than ClearQuest and easier to customise/administer than Bugzilla. It can do most things apart from mass transitioning defects which I have logged as an enhancement request. It has client software and a web front-end. So we use the client in Dublin and our Indian office log in over the web.
I would be happy to discuss QADirector. Drop me an email at address below with any questions.
We have been able to use TrackRecord across our entire organization.
We use it for:
- Defect Tracking (obviously)
- Feature Requests
- Support Calls and issue management
- Internal Help Desk ticket items
- Client Requests for things like DB changes
- Client management tool - of sorts
- We also use an ODBC driver to run Crystal Reports from the TR database for metrics and the like.
We have been pleased that it has worked out as much more than a defect tracking tool which is what we originally brought it in to do with hopes of it being much more. TR is easy to customize and robust...we have very few issues that have not been resolved to our satisfaction.
I would be happy to answer any questions that you have with regard to TrackRecord.
Results (performance and financial) are the natural consequence of effective Quality Management.
