My company uses Heat as it's main call logging tool. I work on-site as a support analyst, I don't have normal access to the database even though there are tools eg. LHeat which is web-based. My problem is that, due to client restrictions, I'm not allowed to dial-up internet and use a VPN to get to my company's call logging system. Instead, we use a spreadsheet on-site.

Has anyone used Heat? Have they ever been able to export data from it? We can't find that "feature".

I'm thinking about using a cheap alternative call logging system on-site and then importing data into Heat in some way. I would also hope to import some main data from Heat into my local system.

This is what I'm considering / planning, has anyone done this before?

What are people's opinions about Heat generally, I don't hear about it at all on the forum.
