We had problems with modifying forms (moving, deleting and adding fields) and changing the font for reports produces some really interesting results!
Also the use of the tab and return keys when selecting list items is inconsistent and a bit annoying.
Is that similar to what you found?
We have had similar problems, but the main problems we are having now relates to data being lost and queries deleting information when the query itself has been deleted.
We are also having problems with the "Sorting" of outline reports on the web. The outline report works correctly in a client/server environment, but it gets messed up when the same report is viewed on the web.
I am just evaluating Compuwares QA Run, QA Director and TrackRecord. I am happy with the first two but TrackRecord seems not as intuitive as ClearQuest and some of the other trackers out there. The basics of creating a new defect item seems ok but the configuration e.g. clours, form design and similar seems a bit clumsy. What I would like to know is first: How to do the above (i know you can change types) what was the cost? I am evaluating this for a bank and just want to be familiar with price out there. :-)

We first purchased Track Record in 1996 and are still using it with version 4.06. Our problem has always been that it's too slow, putting out an hour glass delay for 10 minutes or more when simply oking out. Has anyone out there had this problem? If so, please let me know the solution.
We have never experienced any speed problems (we use the client software not the web). When setting it up, we were advised to do a Rebuild and a Check once a week on the databases so maybe this might help speed things up? Also why don't you upgrade to the latest version? Haven't a clue what V4 was like but I'd say the current version is superior.
There is one bug in V6.1 (being fixed in next version) that we find a pain; the scrollbars don't work on read only fields. So if you have a description field with a fair bit of text and you don't want it editable in certain states by certain users, you make it uneditable. But people then can't read all the information because the scrollbars don't work. There are workarounds this.
