Test Management tool to integrate with Jira
I'm new here and I'm thrilled to know there's such a great forum to learn from.
I'm starting a new position very soon as a QA lead role.
One of my goals is to find a tool for managing test cases (creating new by driving from requirements and from exploratory testing) that integrates with Jira.
The main focus is web application cross-platform testing.
Currently, all test cases are held on excel sheets or not at all.
I have some experience with TestRail but I can't decide yet if that will serve us well.
If I've left anything out that can help drive a decision, please ask away and I'll provide more info.
My experience with TestRail is it has fairly good push integration with Jira, not much pull integration.
I'm defining Push as fileing defects from test, and pull as gathering information about open bugs associated with the components or tags related to the test case.
Hi @dlai and thank you for the reply.
Are you able to provide an example for problematic pull integration?
You can try PractiTest as an alternative Jira TM integration
I am obviously biased since I work with PractiTest, but you can check out our 2-way Jira integration to review other alternatives - PRACTITEST | JIRA integration.
BTW, I think that you can also google for this and get some more ideas on what is available.
Let me know if you have any questions, you can DM me and I will be happy to help.
Unfortunately, the two-way integration is not supported with OnDemand
