Configuration Management Tool X Windows Explorer
I am working in a QA enterprise that has no expierence with QA Tools, QA process, etc...
Since 2 months I am trying to install a CM tool here (CVSNT), however there are realy a great resistence to accept this new philosofie. So far they are using a windows server to store documentation, files, ...
They ask me always the samething: --> What does a CM tool do that windows explorer does not do???
Guys: Where could I find some text, spreadsheet, anything that shows that it is impossible to do CM with windows explorer??? Please help me!!!
Thanks in advance.
Re: Configuration Management Tool X Windows Explorer
What is in a name?
Windows Explorer is intended to live up to its name - explore, and - do that as related to files.
A CM tool, just on a name basis connotes something entirely different of course.
It kind of sounds like you have a set mindset to educate and reset.
