I am trying to grab values inside of custom built, COM/OLE, objects. Our objects plot power spectrum coefficients in nice pretty graphs.
We would like to validate the actual values being plotted in our automatic test. We are unable to access these values inside the object using the object browser. We are unable to use the OleObject function of TestComplete to open our custom objects ("No Such Interface Supported" error).
I just tried object mapping. I've tried every type I could to map my class, and everytime I try I get a "The selected object does not match the criteria of the <insert group name here> group."
We used the instructions in the manual to compile our application as an Open Application, using all debug info options that we could. Not sure what our options are at this point. Thanks!!

This error occurs when the COM object does not support automation. That is, it does not implement the IDispatch interface, which is required to work with the COM object from script. So, you can either add automation support to the COM object or create a custom plug-in that will wrap the object and provide functions that can be used in scripts. To create custom plug-ins, you will need TestComplete SDK:
